We are all getting older that is the sad part of life . We are the same in our mines as when we were young but when we look in to the mirror the truth hits us hard . Yes , it seems like yesterday this wonderful thing called top ten rock made this world a better place . The 60s 70s and 80s will never happen again , This is the best music will ever be .Thanks to all the groups that made my life better with their songs . Miss those days, they came and went to fast . Bless you forever , Sammie

I don't know where to begin.... We are both from Newark, NJ, I met her personally, sang for her and she encouraged me to go all the way in the industry, get into vocal classes to strengthen my voice etc... Such a "sweet spirited" woman....  What you saw in her, during performances and appearances (b4 her struggle...) was the "real Whitney"....
People!!! If you DON'T KNOW what's it's like to "struggle with an addiction" of any sort.... PLEASE BE QUIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honesty, we are NOT her judge or jury... God created her, and ONLY HE.... can judge her!!! If we are truly honest with ourselves, we ALL STRUGGLE with "something" may not be the same as her, but we are ALL IMPERFECT people.... Remember, he that be WITHOUT SIN cast the 1st stone................. Walk Away!!! If you can't say something to be a blessing to those of us, who Dearly Loved Her... and Prayed "nothing but the best for her" in the spotlight & out the spotlight......
The Bible says" We are NOT as strong as we think we are: when we think we can do it..... sometimes we really can not..... God is the ONLY ONE who knows her real struggle, he knows how hard she tried, he knows how much she desired to be free...... and honestly he was the ONLY ONE who would be able to set her free.... "believe it or not" SHE FINALLY IS... FREE @ LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The tears I've shed in my two meltdowns... have been because she was not strong enough to conquer the addiction..... just like WE are not strong enough to break our own habits and addictions... You may THINK they are not killing you, but your wrong.... which makes you no better than her... Only God, has the POWER TO BREAK ADDICTIONS THIS STRONG... not man, which is why: although she attended many "rehabs" THEY.... were not successful in helping her, because SHE DID reach out for help on various occasions.... This is not about who's to blame, cause once an ADDICTION takes over, you are a SLAVE TO IT.... Which is why I said... God has helped her to become FREE!!!!
My prayers are not for her anymore..... but for those who mourn with me, her family, fans, and loved ones.... and "ESPECIALLY" those of you, who THINK you could have overcome such a STRONGHOLD OF ANY SORT!!!!!
WHITNEY WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL...... & WE ALL NEED TO LOOK TO YOU, AS AN EXAMPLE OF KNOWING "GOD IS OUR STRENGTH"  cause we were not built or made to break..... But God!!! (I'll Love You 4Ever & Will Continue 2 Keep Your Music & Movies Alive in My Home..... You are Welcome:)p

I would compare every beautiful voice  I ever heard to Whitney Houston. She was the Golden Voice of my era, the X generation.
