Twilight Superfans BlogWEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2009 This is a great video from Life in the City, featuring red carpet interviews with many of the "New Moon" cast, director Chris Weitz, and author Stephenie Meyer, during the world premiere of "New Moon" on November 16 in L.A. The video also gives great panoramic views of the entire premiere area, from the red carpet to the two theaters to the intersection that is clogged with thousands of Twifans. You'll see why it's so exciting! If you haven't yet seen my piece "TwiSuperfan Hits the Red Carpet!", have a look! I give the "regular" person's red carpet experience, along with some great interview videos. Follow @TwiSuperfan! An excerpt from this issue, which hits the stands on November 27: “I DON’T KNOW HOW THE BEATLES FELT BUT I IMAGINE IT WAS CLOSE TO THIS,” ROB PATTINSON TELLS ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY NEW YORK – Hot off the tail of the New Moon premiere, this week’s Entertainment Weekly explores the phenomenon that is the Twilight series. Chris Weitz opens the door to his beach house looking like a wilted rose. He’s unshaven, pale and wearing clothes he appears to have found wadded in a ball on his bedroom floor. It’s exactly the way you’d expect to find the director the morning after his movie The Twilight Saga: The New Moon opened around the world to numbers no one thought possible. But Weitz isn’t recovering from a long night of revelry. He’s just exhausted. In the last ten days, he’s been in more time zones than the sun, on the last stretch of promotional duties for his movie. “I’m at the point of physical collapse,” says Weitz, 40. “Hopefully I will now lapse into obscurity. That’s my plan.” Read more at Robert Pattinson Life. Follow me @TwiSuperfan! In comparison, here are the figures for "Twilight," which opened November 21, 2008:
Box Office Mojo also reports that "Summit Entertainment's exit polling [for New Moon] indicated that 80 percent of the audience was female and 50 percent was under 21 years old, which means the sequel skewed more female and younger than the first Twilight. The sequel's success speaks to how pleased with the first movie moviegoers were, and the marketing upped the ante with the promotion of a new werewolf love interest in addition to the vampire one as well as a grander canvas for the story." Box Office Mojo's charts also show "New Moon" to have the #1 ranking in the following categories:

And the Vanity Fair editors a nice bottle of Patrón. Why? Because they've given us yet another round of outtakes from Rob Pattinson's photo shoot for the December 2009 issues. And there's one last set to come...squee. Here are my favorites: Why is Rob eating so hot? Because we rarely get to see him eat. In the "Twilight" films he doesn't eat food (not sure yet if I want to see him drain a mountain lion). Hair, hands, 5 o'clock shadow, smoldering look--it's all here. This is SO Robward in SO many fan fic stories. Kind of angry and emo, slightly caveman, very brooding. One of these days I will tell you about a little story called "The Office." Just you wait ;) See the rest of the photos here. If you missed my earlier posts on Rob in Vanity Fair, they're here: And follow me @TwiSuperfan! Not on Twitter yet?! This would be a fantastic time to join. It's free and easy. Then follow @Twilight, and follow me @TwiSuperfan! He is, however, thrilled that his Seattle-based company was chosen to create the character effects for both "New Moon" and "Eclipse." He's worked on films like "Predator" and "Mortal Kombat," but also on other vampire series such as "True Blood" and "Vampire Diaries." Check out these photos: See the whole article and more pics here. I need to go find this guy; he lives in my city! Maybe he'll need more hands on deck once "Breaking Dawn" gets the official go-ahead... Follow @TwiSuperfan! He didn't make anything super yummmmy with EVOO, but he does talk Twitter, the "Twilight" Board Game, and "Nurse Jackie." Follow me @TwiSuperfan! I like to think that my tastes have grown more sophisticated by now, but I may be delusional. I do see movies and read books in a wide range of genres, and I enjoy them immensely. But when it comes down to it, I love the escapism and otherworldliness that fantasy brings me. I can't yet discuss The Deathly Hallows without choking up. I've watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy so many times that the DVDs might actually be wearing down. I get a wistful look in my eye when I think about the Arthurian legends. And when I watch Twilight, I actually giggle like a schoolgirl when Edward first walks into the cafeteria. Hey I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek. Huge difference, right? So I love geeky games and gadgets. But I am also very social, I love clothes and makeup, I can sing and dance, I like the outdoors, and I enjoy my drink. I guess that makes me...a well-rounded geek? WYSIWYG. More about me.
