Follow @Twilight! And follow me as well @TwiSuperfan! LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 12/8/2009 9:03:13 PM According to the Chicago Sun-Times Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are negotiating their contracts for "Breaking Dawn" in tandem. With the possibility of the final book in the "Twilight" saga being made into two films, negotiating their contracts as a team could mean an extremely lucrative outcome for the three main actors of the franchise. Though nothing is yet on paper, there is word the huge box-office hauls of both "Twilight" and "New Moon" -- and the likely success of "Eclipse," already shot and due in June -- has the three actors likely to be able to demand paychecks well into eight figures for the next two films. Source: RPLife via RobPattzNews LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 12/8/2009 8:52:43 PM The LA Times reports that our favorite werewolf may be doing a superhero film. "Max Steel," a Paramount movie about a teenage superhero, could be Taylor Lautner's next project. Lautner would portray Josh McGrath, a 19 year old extreme-sports athlete who "is accidentally exposed to the unleashed power of nanotechological machines, which become part of him and (in the old show, at least) give him increased strength, near-invulnerability and the ability to change his appearance." The LA Times states, "It's worth noting that Paramount and other studios are eager to cast Lautner because he can bring young women into theaters -- always a positive for any action picture." A super extra heartfelt fist bump to the forward-thinking, internet-savvy people of Jimmy Kimmel Live for creating a YouTube channel with your show's videos, so we can easily find them, post them in HD, and not deal with poor video quality, copyright issues, or non-imbeddable videos! Isn't it amazing how a vampire book has inspired all forms of art and self-expression? Love it. Follow me @TwiSuperfan! LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 12/3/2009 11:58:40 AM NBC confirms that Taylor Lautner will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" on December 12, with musical guests Bon Jovi. [Maybe that's why Richie Sambora was at the "New Moon" premiere...] I would be almost 100% sure that the SNL writers will come up with at least one skit where Taylor has to show off that famous eight-pack ("Don't worry Bella, it's just vomit," as he stands up and whips it off, Chippendale's style). And there has got to be at least another skit that spoofs "New Moon." I wonder if Taylor Swift, who hosted just a couple weeks ago, will make a guest appearance. MTV's The Hollywood Crush has come up with a few sketch ideas for Taylor Lautner, including a Cougar's Den episode (please do a cameo, Courteney Cox Arquette!) and another that addresses the issue of what happens to their briefs/boxers when a guy phases into a wolf. Check out the article here. SNL will still be in "Twilight" mode the following week, when James Franco is host and the musical guest is Muse, the only band who has earned a spot on both the "Twilight" and "New Moon" soundtracks. Source: HitFix LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 11/30/2009 5:37:26 PM Entertainment Weekly chatted up Tish Monaghan, the costume designer for "New Moon" and "Eclipse." Does she dish on whether Edward Cullen is a boxers or briefs guy? Or if they needed the Jaws of Life to remove the wolf pack's snug denim cut-offs? Well, no. But she does talk about a lot of other very interesting costume-related issues! Some juicy bits about costuming Robert Pattinson: At the very beginning of the film, he has one school outfit, and then there’s Bella’s birthday party and disaster strikes. So Edward ends up in that same costume for the remainder of the film. I was thinking of just putting him in a dress shirt and a pair of pants, but Robert wanted to be in a suit. So I found a modern contemporary look that would be appealing to him and to the massive fan base, a very slim cut, and a fabric that to me was a bit Old World — this beautiful tweed fabric that we got out of England. It had the gray base, which is kind of essential for the Cullen characters in their cool tones, but also had little interesting flecks of blue, which is also Cullen, and a tiny little bit of rust, which I liked because Bella wears earth tones and that kinda linked her into the picture. When he goes to sacrifice himself, he’s in disrepair. Robert and Chris wanted his shirt to have a rip across the chest, so that’s what we gave him. It’s really kind of tragic to watch him take off his shirt, because he really is sacrificing himself. It looks like he’s just giving up. He’s exposing himself and he’s completely vulnerable, and he just takes his shirt off and he drops it at his feet with his eyes downcast. Then he gets attacked by Bella, who shoves him inside the doors. [Laughs] I don’t find it like a beefcake moment. It really is a moving moment, and I think Robert did a really amazing job for that scene. And more juicy bits...this time on Taylor and the wolf pack: They wanted the shorts as close-fitting to the leg as possible, whereas the natural tendency of the guys would be to have something baggier so that they didn’t look like they were wearing hot pants. [Laughs] So if I knew they were going to morph, then they had tighter-fitting shorts, and if they didn’t have to morph, then we would give them something a little bit looser and longer. There were lots of Levi’s, American Eagle, Old Navy. Quite honestly, I tried to shop where I figured the wolves would shop. [Laughs] So we went to Wal-Mart. Everything was geared towards making sure that his [Taylor's] arm muscles really showed. There’s a scene where he’s working on a motorcycle, and his muscles are really pulling against this plaid shirt he’s wearing. He looks very strong and very built, and we tried to do the same with this T-shirts. There was no way since it was the same actor that we could show somebody that had grown like six inches. So it was Chris Weitz’s genius idea to tailor his clothes, to make the sleeves a little bit shorter, a little bit tighter — make it look as if he’d grown out of his clothes in a couple of months and hadn’t had time to go get new ones. There's a whole lot more on the Volturi and the Cullen women. Read it all here. Follow @TwiSuperfan! LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 11/30/2009 11:09:50 AM This week's Entertainment Weekly features three covers, letting you choose whether you'll pick up the Team Edward, Team Bella, or Team Jacob issue. An excerpt from this issue, which hits the stands on November 27: “I DON’T KNOW HOW THE BEATLES FELT BUT I IMAGINE IT WAS CLOSE TO THIS,” ROB PATTINSON TELLS ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY NEW YORK – Hot off the tail of the New Moon premiere, this week’s Entertainment Weekly explores the phenomenon that is the Twilight series. Chris Weitz opens the door to his beach house looking like a wilted rose. He’s unshaven, pale and wearing clothes he appears to have found wadded in a ball on his bedroom floor. It’s exactly the way you’d expect to find the director the morning after his movie The Twilight Saga: The New Moon opened around the world to numbers no one thought possible. But Weitz isn’t recovering from a long night of revelry. He’s just exhausted. In the last ten days, he’s been in more time zones than the sun, on the last stretch of promotional duties for his movie. “I’m at the point of physical collapse,” says Weitz, 40. “Hopefully I will now lapse into obscurity. That’s my plan.” Read more at Robert Pattinson Life. Follow me @TwiSuperfan! LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 11/25/2009 10:03:15 AM Fun interview! Conan is so funny, and Taylor is relaxed and enjoying it. Bonus clip of Taylor doing martial arts when he was a wee kid! Follow @TwiSuperfan! LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 11/25/2009 12:09:37 AM Taylor Lautner will be gracing the cover of Rolling Stone's December 10 issue, along with a wet T-shirt and an 8-pack. Here's an excerpt from the accompanying article: What Lautner has done is turn his love of martial arts into superstardom as werewolf Jacob in the Twilight series. “This could have happened to anyone who played Jacob,” Lautner tells RS. “It’s Twilight. It’s not me personally.” But his hard work is inescapable: he started learning karate at age six and moved on to Xtreme Martial Arts, relocating with his family to Los Angeles to pursue acting and stomaching the bullying that came along with it. He put on 30 pounds of muscle between the first two Twilight films. He found time to shoot the upcoming Valentine’s Day with Taylor Swift, with whom he “instantly clicked,” he admits. “Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around.” But as Strauss discovers, Lautner is quiet and guarded, more of a Zac Efron than a Lindsay Lohan, as far as young stars go. “He’s so picky. I was the first person who got him to eat sushi,” New Moon costar Kristen Stewart tells RS. “He’s very set in his ways. But that is very informative of his personality. He’s very steady. He has a really solid sense of himself.” The rest of the article, along with more from the beachy-keen photo shoot, are all here. Follow @TwiSuperfan! LAST UPDATE BY DAZZLEDBYTWILIGHT AT 11/24/2009 11:07:43 PM | Myriam Gabriel-Pollock When I was a kid my favorite movies were Star Wars, The Sound of Music, and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. I like to think that my tastes have grown more sophisticated by now, but I may be delusional. I do see movies and read books in a wide range of genres, and I enjoy them immensely. But when it comes down to it, I love the escapism and otherworldliness that fantasy brings me. I can't yet discuss The Deathly Hallows without choking up. I've watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy so many times that the DVDs might actually be wearing down. I get a wistful look in my eye when I think about the Arthurian legends. And when I watch Twilight, I actually giggle like a schoolgirl when Edward first walks into the cafeteria. Hey I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek. Huge difference, right? So I love geeky games and gadgets. But I am also very social, I love clothes and makeup, I can sing and dance, I like the outdoors, and I enjoy my drink. I guess that makes me...a well-rounded geek? WYSIWYG. More about me.
