Dinoshark Cometh

DinocrocB-movie pioneer Roger Corman, the guy behind every zero-budget horror movie classic from A Bucket of Blood (1959) and Attack of the Crab Monsters (1957) to contemporary features as Dinocroc (2004) is back flaunting his knack for spending less on movie-making than he does on lunch with Dinoshark.

Filmed in Mexico (but not yet done), Dinoshark allegedly reuses the same human snapping jaws that belonged to Dinocroc. Why not? Don't fix what's not broken, I always say. Corman also goes on to reveal that the follow-up is Octoshark. I don't know why, but I simply cannot wait to see that movie.

Dinocroc, as you no doubt recall, was a heartwarming story of a prehistoric raptor with a crocodile face (thank you genetic tinkering), made infamous by the scene in which DC bites off a little boy's head (later censored for the TV version). He shouldn't have put his head in Dinocroc's mouth in the first place. Stupid kid.

Dinocroc goes on to eat, chew, gulp, swallow, devour, savor much the the small town in which he was having such a good time. The end.

Sort of.

Where there's one genetically-enhanced monster, there's probably another. So why not kill two towns with the same storyline? Hence, Dincocroc Vs. Supergator, coming soon. But not soon enough.

ABOUT THE SUPERFAN

Fright Master

Jeff GilbertJeff Gilbert has been a hardcore horror movie fan since last week. And by last week, we mean 40 years. He's written over 1,000 horror movie reviews and owes Netflix about $1,000 dollars.

Horror books he's authored include (but are not limited to) Two Werewolves, A Six-Pak & Elvis, Beer Fear, Trick or Shriek, Camp Vampire, Drinkin' & Drive-in: Horror, Sci-Fi, Beer Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 (working on volume 3 - or so he says) and prefers giant monster movies to slasher crap.

Gilbert lives in Seattle, is predictably single and has really long hair. How nice.
