Vampires have maintained their cinematic allure for decades, and because of their long-term popularity, it has become harder and harder to tell an original vamp tale. With Tim Burton's tongue-in-cheek rendition of the classic TV soap opera "Dark Shadows" rising from the crypt this weekend, we decided to look back at other offbeat fang fare that has graced the silver screen. The vampire mythos has been revealed, regurgitated and resurrected in different ways throughout cinematic history, and often in films that many people may not be familiar with. Here are 10 unusual takes on a genre that always comes back from the dead.
