Acid indigestion

One of the most iconic moments in the franchise occurs in the original film. After quietly gestating inside of Executive Officer Kane (John Hurt), a baby alien bursts out from his stomach during mealtime. Not only is this the fastest way for the crew of the commercial towing ship Nostromo to lose their lunch, it is also a foreshadowing of the horrors to come as the creepily cute critter shrieks at everyone, than races off into the belly of the ship. And, boy, is it going to grow up fast! Even though many older films do not age well in the era of high definition, this sequence, and the entire original movie, look fantastic on Blu-ray. That makes the carnage still so much fun to watch.
