What five albums or singles are in heavy rotation for you
now?
- Ronnie Milsap's "Greatest Hits": I fell in love with this
album again as a result of being on tour with Ronnie on the George Strait tour. "Smoky Mountain Rain" is a classic; I
love that song. Also, Ronnie's just an inspiring person.
- Dashboard Confessional's "Dusk and Summer": Chris Carrabba's lyrics are amazing; I
can't get over the depth of them.
- Johnny Cooper's "Ignition": I just found this album; I love this
guy's voice and writing. It's Texas country, and there's something wild about
it. There's a song on here called "Everything" that really kills me.
- Miranda Lambert's "Kerosene": I love this album. I love Miranda
Lambert. Her writing is really intriguing.
Does Robert Christgau agree?
- Teddy Geiger's "Underage Thinking": I think Teddy Geiger's
extremely cool; he's young like me ... and he writes all of his own music.
He's got this endearing charisma about him; he's not trying to hard to be
great, he just is.

What one song or album can you always listen to and how did you find
it? Fefe Dobson's album -- every song is just great. It's such a
different record -- like it came right out of the '80s -- but has a modern vibe
to it. There's a song on here called "Revolution Song" that helped me get
through high school in my hometown. When a song helps you, I think music has
really accomplished something.
What was the first record you ever bought and do you still have
it? LeAnn Rimes, "Blue." I think I have it somewhere. It got me
interested in country music, which I guess has worked out pretty well. Ha.
