Keyboardist and leader of Stax house band the MGs -- for "Memphis Group" --
Booker T. Jones' organ work defined both the sound of the MGs
own hits like "Green Onions" as well as those of numerous artists both on and
beyond Stax. Co-author of "Born Under A Bad Sign," Jones also achieved notoriety
as a producer, working on Willie Nelson's "Stardust" album and Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine," and has performed with Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Neil Young among others. (Image: Stax Museum)
