Happy birthday, Miley, Madonna, and Mickey! This year some of our favorite
stars celebrated milestone birthdays--whether they became legal to drive, legal
to drink, or legal to say they were newly nonagenarian. In case you weren't
invited to the first party, join us for this special year-end tribute to
everyone who had a significant birthday this year. And remember, you have to
blow out all the candles.
Madonna, 50, Aug. 16:
Madonna's had a year of high drama, with her splashy and successful "Sticky
& Sweet" tour, but also rumors of an inappropriate "closeness" to baseball
star Alex Rodriguez, through Kabbalah, and culminating in what seemed like an
out-of-nowhere split from husband of eight years, Guy Ritchie. But the show must go on, and Madonna has
given every ounce of effort into her performing (recently appearing with both
Justin Timberland and former smoochee Britney Spears, in L.A.). Pass the hard candy,
please.
