Despite some good acting (Thomas Haden Church for one), this movie was a complete waste of time. Who scored and who sank in Hollywood this past year By Kim Morgan As 2012 comes to a close, we look closely at our lives, our finances, our presidential candidates and ... did Matthew McConaughey really just do that with a piece of fried chicken? Did I really just see that? And holy mother of God, how was that so simultaneously depraved and darkly hilarious? Well, it took more than a piece of chicken to make McConaughey's career in 2012 (I can't believe I just wrote that sentence), as the actor took on challenging roles that catapulted him back into where he belongs: a great year. Unlike, say, Taylor Kitsch. With that in mind, we're looking at the five best and five worst careers of the year. And please, Twi-hards, no hate mail. Please.
