Iron Man was number one
but the film was really the weakest
in the series.Success should be defined
by the strength of the film not its box office
sales. Blade Runner was a financial flop
but it is one of the most critically accomplished
films in history.

Horrible freaking movie. Pretty much ruined the franchise. It made money only because of the others. Should be renamed Paltrow ruins the day!

disagree totally.  It was the best film of the series.  Didnt waste time on character development but established it (1970s scenes).  Downey delivers sarcasm in a unique condescending but matter of fact way thats perfect.  Too bad comic nerds cant get over the slight differences.  It was supposed to be a blockbuster both in box office revenue and style.  When I want to be entertained I want to see a totally action packed faced paced film like this.

What's with the Paltrow comments?  We are talking about Iron Man 3 and not Iron Man 2 right?  I mean 2  was her movie and set her character.  This was Stark's film for character development and we saw a new more vulnerable side.  If people can't appreciate it, I'm sorry for that.  I wish you could see it the way I see it because I saw a great film that had a well orchestrated balance between high action and character development without any artificial separation of the two.

Paltrow was Paltrow.  She wasn't the main character.  The plot was typical Iron Man.  What did you expect?

IM 3 Totally sucked except for the mid air rescue scene, it was Downey being Downey at it's most boring.....
