![]() Synopsis: Anthropologist Donald Thomson spent his life studying Australia's aborigines and advocating on their behalf. He began his work after an aboriginal clansman killed eight fishermen on Arnhem Land's east coast in 1933. Thomson spent two years living with the aborigines and issued a report on their culture and customs in 1937. Prior to his death in 1970, he collected more than 10,000 photographs and 7,000 aboriginal artifacts to help preserve an understanding of this unique culture. This film received ...
