Synopsis: A comparatively little-known entry in the "screwball comedy" genre, David O. Selznick's The Young in Heart goes for quiet chuckles rather than bellylaughs. According to Hollywood lore, theater legend Maud Adams was to have made The Young in Heart her triumphant comeback after 20 years in retirement but the original Peter Pan got cold feet at the last minute. Producer David O. Selznick instead cast the lesser known Minnie Dupree, a most fortuitous replacement, it seems.
