Synopsis: The M-1, a two-man American mission, reaches Mars. The landing goes smoothly, but first one and then the other member of the crew is attacked and killed, suddenly and without warning. The mission controllers on Earth are baffled, and, three years later, the M-2, with a four-man crew, is sent with strict orders as to how to conduct extra-vehicular activity. Director Byron Haskin, who did such a wonderful job the same year as this show with the movie Robinson Crusoe On Mars (which also co-starred Adam West), fared rather less well with "The Invisible Enemy," hamstrung by a script that was damaged by network interference. Jerry Sohl's original 1955 short story was a perfectly fine mystery wrapped up within a science fiction setting, but was too expensive ... Full Review
