Synopsis: The Black Bird is a satirical sequel to The Maltese Falcon. George Segal plays Sam Spade Jr., who has inherited his dad's detective agency in a seedy section of San Francisco. Buried inside the 98 minutes of The Black Bird is a very amusing parody of The Maltese Falcon. Had Bird been shorn to a trim 30 minutes or so, it would have made a very amusing and entertaining little short, but that sadly was not the case.
