Synopsis: One review of Columbia's The Amazing Mr. Williams referred to its private-detective hero as "slap happy". As played by Melvyn Douglas, the giddy Kenny Williams is all that and more. 	Craig Butler, AMG Review Viewers looking for a pleasant comedy that isn't overexposed should search out The Amazing Mr. Williams, one of the many attempts from the 1930s and 1940s to find a new Thin Man variation. Williams is not as good as Thin Man and didn't lead to a series of films, but it's quite an agreeable and entertaining little flick.
