Synopsis: The tenants of a South Bronx slum rise up against the thugs who want to take over their home in this violent thriller from exploitation legend Roberta Findlay. On paper, Tenement sounds like a deliciously gritty little grindhouse epic: a seamy group of characters, a squalid setting and plenty of in-your-face violence delivered with the worst 'bad attitude' possible. Unfortunately, it plays out in a surprising dull manner thanks to weak filmmaking. Roberta Findlay's pacing is decent but she has no feel for action or suspense, thus most of the film's setpieces ...
