Moody, morose, and too long by at least 20 minutes, Sweet Thing nonetheless draws the viewer into the slowly unraveling story by virtue of some interesting characterizations. Jeremy Fox does a fine job as the tortured artist whose particularly nasty childhood is now manifesting despite the danger to his family and himself.
