Synopsis: Roots, Vol. 3 combines episodes three and four of the landmark eight-part TV miniseries based on the book by Alex Haley. Although he's been a slave for ten years, African-born Kunta Kinte (John Amos) remains defiant. He attempts to escape from his Virginia plantation, only to lose a foot when he is recaptured.
