Synopsis: Roots, Vol. 2 is comprised of the 2-hour second chapter of the landmark TV miniseries based on the book by Alex Haley. Having been captured from his West-African home by slavers, Kunta Kinte (LeVar Burton) is brought to America and sold to Virginia tobacco farmer Reynolds (Lorne Greene). He is given the slave name Toby, which he must answer to or be savagely beaten. Kunta's transition to slavery is softened by his friendship with American-born slave Fiddler (Louis Gossett Jr.).
