Synopsis: In the wake of The Thin Man, every studio in Hollywood scrambled to churn out sophisticated mystery-comedies wherein murders are solved by a wealthy, attractive, fun-loving young couple. An enjoyably quirky little murder mystery/screwball comedy, Remember Last Night doesn't really come together in a totally satisfying way but is still good fun while it lasts. The first 15 or so minutes, during which we witness the wild party, gets to be a bit much, and director James Whale sometimes misses slightly when trying to pull all of the various genres together.
