Synopsis: A typical, fast-paced Grade-B murder mystery, Mystery of the White Room was based on the then revolutionary medical breakthrough of corneal transplantation. After being rebuked by hospital administrator Dr. Morton (Addison Richards) for failing to follow procedure, Dr. Clayton (Bruce Cabot) and Dr. Thornton (Frank Reicher) become prime suspects when Morton is murdered during a brief blackout in the operating room. The shortest of the "Crime Club" murder mysteries, Mystery of the White Room presents its location and its characters in a logical manner, which is more than most B-movies can claim. And although it is by necessity shown in a rather sensationalist way, corneal transplantation was already then a valid medical procedure and its inclusion here makes the mystery angle even more intriguing.
