King Solomon's Mines is as much an exotic locale romance as an adventure tale. Leads Stewart Granger and Deborah Kerr are pleasant, though their chemistry is minimal. What works well are Robert Surtees's superb cinematography and the outstanding editing of Conrad Nervig and Ralph Winters.
