Synopsis: Movie references, sight gags, silly puns, and double entendres abound in Hot Shots! While less critically acclaimed than its prequel, Hot Shots! Part Deux performed marvelously at the box office by earning a healthy 38 million dollars. Director Jim Abrahams continued to mine the material that he had perfected with Jerry and David Zucker in films like Airplane (1980) and Top Secret (1984).
