Synopsis: This is one of the strangest entries in the Japanese horror-fantasy series. It begins as the organizers of Expo '70 dig up an ancient sacred statue. This unearthed icon causes the release of Jiger, a giant lizard. It is up to Gamera, now a defender of humanity, to destroy him. During their titanic battle, the reptile's tail pounds the turtle in the chest thereby injecting it's eggs into Gamera. After a couple of entries where it veered into the goofy/dumb side of the kiddie movie, the Gamera series regained its footing with Gamera Vs. Jiger.
