Synopsis: Actor-turned-director Tim Reid follows up the success of his 1996 opus Once Upon a Time...When We Were Colored with this tense psychological thriller. The bloody butcher knife doesn't show up until the last reel, and until then Asunder is all at the level of a torrid daytime drama. But when the melodramatic pot boils over, Blair Underwood's menace seems genuine and you begin to fear for anyone in the room with him.
