What a complete failure for Kate Hudson! Owen Wilson really hit rock bottom at the part where he was pleasuring himself. Anybody who likes this movie should get a life. I sat wanting to be entertained and it really fell so far short that I wondered why I was in the theatre. I laughed one solitary time - and that had nothing to do with the main characters - but with taking a trash can passed a window. Absolutely predicatable with a chick-flick ending. Matt Dillon was simply awful in the main role. Do not go and waste you money on this terrible movie. Dont even buy the DVD. Wait for it to go on public tv if you MUST see it. Was this review helpful? It Was At Least Better Than Date Movie. Anyways To The Point. Matt Dillion Had Done A Very Well Acted, Written, Directed Film Known As Crash. Own Wilson Did His Shang High Series Wich He Should Stick To. Matt Dillion And Own Wilson Made This Movie A Joke. Hes overused as the lame comedian. find another person to play the loser, seriously. this movie reminds me of movies my grandmother would find funny. it is anoying and more dramma then Comedy, im affraid this movie was really lame.
Though Kate Hudson was Breath taking as she is in every movie, she just cant makeup for this borring drama. sorry kate.

Sign In 2 out of 6 users found this helpful Wows for the wrong reasonsPosted: 7/30/2006A review of You, Me and Dupree by chrisp470 I went in, expecting a typical unashamedly mediocre American comedy movie with nothing much to it, but just half an hour into the movie I was so bored I was within an inch of my life, struggling to see why I could hear s(@s in the theater. Dont get me wrong I am definitely a fan of Owen Wilson, but the plot in this movie was so pathetic and limp I wanted to walk out of the theater (but didnt cause I paid 12 to see it lol). Having stayed in the theater to brave the movie out, I didnt find the tiniest bit of the movie funny, the plot didnt really work, and the acting followed the plot in terms of quality. It just painfully dragged on and on for 2 hours too long like a poor animal that had been shot in the foot that was dragging itself around and around in vain hope of rescue. I have to say recyclings great, but not when it comes to jokes, plots or character cliches. However, if your intentions of paying to go to a movie theater is to get popcorn you while you sleep, then by all means I would recommend this movie to you! Alas, I wish I could say I was exaggerating but I think the limitations of the human language prevent me from doing so. My commiserations for those unsuspecting victims who, like me went to see the movie and survived through the ordeal - such atrocities should not have been inflicted onto humanity, but then again we have George bush and adolf (@. It was spending a very hot afternoon in a nice cool theatre watching a good movie. I loved the real aspects of the movie as wife doesnt like best friend then realizes yes hes ok why else would hubby like in first place. Loved the ending. Was this review helpful? And Ill tell you why no one likes it because its not raunchy. It is really funny without being nasty or vulgar. Its not loaded with f words and sexual humor. Its just a good, funny movie. Take the family, take the kids and enjoy a funny movie with a lovable, screw-up of a main character. It really was funny and I appreciated that the jokes werent dirty. Ill be buying this one.
