My wife has seen it twice and so has her best friend and now me. Tons of classic material. You choose the best from the old lady scene to the fight outside the bar. Thats all I am saying. But anyone who watches JC movies is likely to see the same guy played 100 different ways. But this one is different because it shares a good message that was really needed in my family cause my husband sits around and says no all the time--there has to be lots of people like this who should watch this movie as "advice." Funny, and it's really inspirational deep down. A great movie for kids, as well as adults of all ages. Zooey Deschanel showed her acting talent (as well as her attractiveness) again after being in "Tin Man" on the Science Fiction Channel. Usually I rather wait for movies to come out on DVD, but was talked into going to this one in the theater. Glad I was! Money well spent. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Good Funny MovieI must say first off that Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors. I find him to be extremely funny no matter what movie he is in. This was another good Jim Carrey funny movie. I took my 13 year old daughter and we both thought that it was a good storyline with some funny lines and scenes to it. With most films being about tragedy it's realy nice to have an escape and relax and have nothing but fun. Jim Carrey is truly a comic genius, andas the story progresses the smile on your face simply gets bigger. Movie critics have forgotten that not all movies are created for oscars but that some are just created to get a release from this world and simply let you have fun and laugh agian. Yes Man is not meant to be completely realistic, yet the interaction between Carl (Carey) and Alison (Deschanel) were believable snapshots of two people opening themselves up to the possibility of a long term romance. Carl's pathetic no's and exagerated yes's set the scene for some unrealistic yet laughable moments. But, Bravo to all involved that finally depicted a relationship in it's early stages with a real slant; two people full of insecurities yet open to new possibilities of happiness together. The back and forth lines between Carl and Alison didn't scream passion. Instead, their delivery and responses made me laugh and smile knowing they would have a chance for passion together in their future; the real kind of passion that can only be built slowly by two willing to accept flaws and follow their bliss. But never fear.... Jim is here! He just has a way of making everything he touches a lot better! The storyline was a little ordinary and somewhat predictable, but there were a bunch of little surprises within.
