It brought in new characters and kept the older ones. It also kept the same fast-paced action and excitement going. Bryan Singer did a bang-up job, and it couldn't have been better. 5 stars easily. X-men are just something you wish were real cuz theyre just so awesome. You can get pulled into the movie without knowing and it feels so real when watching it. Its just a great movie. I love the unknowing till the end and the unexpected of whats waiting just around the corner.I'm always on line of when the next one is going to come out. And you could'mt have picked the most perrrrrfect cast. I'm also just in ah when I watch Hugh Jackmen in action. He is a very very exclent actor. As well as all the others in playing the parts, very beleiving, it just pulls you into the moment. Well I hope that with this we can keep the x-men together and going as long as their able. When I first saw the first X-Men movie, I really enjoyed it. But the sequel has more action and characters. There are some very good fight sequences and some brilliant special effects in X2 and some great extras on the 2-Disc DVD. X-Men 2 (X2) is a must-see for action fans and fans of the X-Men series. If you are not familiar to the X-Men, see this - you won't regret it. 10/10 - it deserves it. Was this review helpful? I liked but didn't think it was such a great movie. I thought it was a one time watch movie but when I saw X2 I loved it. The plot/synopsis was okay but the action, stunts, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Lady Deathstrike, and Jean Grey were excellent in this movie. I loved this movie so much that after watching it I saw X-Men, understood it in a more clear and vivid perspective, and enjoyed they movie even more. All of the actors are incredble good and I think that it is more mature than the first one. When Pyro goes nuts with the fire, I started to cheer! And the rivelry bewtween Wolverine and Cyclops over Jean Gray gets more competive in this one. The end is totally amazing! I can't wait for the third one to come out in 2006! Was this review helpful? Did the people that worked on the first movie get abducted? Fist of all the characters personalities &*^*ed. They were better in the 90's cartoon and even in the previous movie. Stupid things: Storm wining that she had given up on feeling sorry for people, Cyclops -- the total wimp, spent more time crying than doing anything useful, Wolverine throwing himself at Jean, and not being able to tell the difference between Jean and Mystique. Also dumb: Jean turning into the Phoenix & everything was related to wolvns origin. Too feminist. Air force pilots: both female. Wolverine: short part were he was getting some action but Jean, Storm, & Mystique main characters. Cyclops didn't even put up a fight against Lady Deathstrike (also wasted Wolvn) Bad morals: Not necessary for Mystique seduction to be so nasty. X-Men did not save bad guys, especially bad: Wolverine holding a little kid, & kid sticks his tongue out at a guy who is hanging there with a chain around his neck. That is just wrong. Lastly I would just like to complain about the ending. Why did Jean have to be outside the jet to make it work?
