This was a great movie. It was the best X-Men movie ever. I don't see why the movie critics gave it a 3.5 out of five.

I thought the movie was pretty good, but I liked X-Men United the best. I still thought this was a great movie and even though X-Men Origins Wolverine takes place before all the other movies you should see the first 3 movies first. Then this movie will make way more sense. This movie is about the early life of Wolverine and what happend to him before he became a member of the X-Men.This is a great movie for all Marvel fans filled with lots and lots of action.

What has been said by both critics and fans has been said and it speaks volumes. Those that have no clue about what the X-Men or Wolverine is about do not get it nor will they ever. The ones that do get it, know what they are talking about and love it. If you are just a critic and have no knowledge of something....stay away. I for one NEVER listen to or take the advice from critics or reviewers, which I am glad to say has always been wrong and far from the truth. Let the Fans Stand Alone

While quite entertaining to watch, the latest X-men film is a mixed bag. By taking the most popular mutant and teaming him up with never before seen characters, the film avoids the staleness that plagued The Last Stand. However, the origin of Wolverine is a very touchy subject with hardcore comic fans that the new movie tends to rewrite and over explain. That said, the action scenes in the movie are kick-ass, the cast is pitch-perfect, and the story is engaging (even if it has a couple of unnecessary twists). Even with its shortcomings, Wolverine is as good a film as any in the series and will soon sit next to them in my DVD (or Blu-Ray) collection.

Maybe the previews set me up for disappointment, but I was disappointed nonetheless. This will be one movie I won't look to buy as a DVD. I really appreciate Hugh Jackman's efforts but this seemed below what he is capable of. I also was disappointed with the graphics and storyline. Both were flimsy at best. I'm not a Marvel comics fan, and I still felt cheated. I believe I fell for the ploy of taking a likable character and using him to generate a quick profit. I should've known...

If you have never read a comic book in your life and just like looking at teen idols pose with sub-par CGI graphics and easygoing violence, then this is for you. If you actually know anything about the X-men series (Not the crap movie series mind you) and the TRUE origin of Wolverine, then save yourself a series of groans, facepalms, and "Oh god, why did they do that?" As commented below, studios take "creative liberties" but to this extent they took it to a whole new level. And no marvel studios does NOT get final say in what goes on here, they pass all access to these movie companies. why do you think Marvel Studios came about? No one could pump out a decent marvel movie. So yeah, as for this movie, as I said, if you know nothing about the storyline and just like hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, go see this. while you're at it, I think Step Up 2: to the streets is on Stars, you can catch that after the movie too.

Well, as long as you were only looking for the origin of wolverine, then this movie is great for the first 10-15 minutes. The movie turned out to be more like a TV episode without even the remote sense of completion for any of the characters unless they died. The CGI might as well have come straight from "Batteries not Included". I still want to know how Sabertooth turns blonde.

ok start off, the beginning explains his story, than how he is the best at what he does, because noone is living when he is done with them. than how he got to b the way he is. plus this is way before the first Xmen movie so now everyone knows that Wolverine is the best guy ever. it also shows him going from bone claws to indestructible claws of super toughness power. Now if i am right, they will make a Magneto one too.( we hope ) alright, peace out, and keep on with the awesome movies

Ok okay, so i was so excited to see this and i was NOT disappointed!!! I left there feeling that i can't wait for the next one to come out! The acting and story was soo great! people get so uptight about things, just sit back and let it be a ''movie'' and you will love it...it really shows Logan's (wolverine's) mentality and makes you love him even more!! To the people who are so worried about it not following the comic books, seriously...lighten up and take it for what it is...a great movie! And..for the love of ***!!! Logan is soooo HOT HOT HOT in this movie...not important, just a perk!

Posted: 5/10/2009A review of X-Men Origins: Wolverine by RogerOne0
This is the worst X men movie of the series. Why is it nearly every sequel is worse then the original and this prequel is even worse then the last sequel. For X men comic readers, entire character histories are re-written and destroyed. This Hollywood version is NOT the history of the X men, it is a greatly distorted history of wolverine and all other X men characters are grossly trivialized.

I haven't even seen the other X-Men movies, nor have I read the comics, but I never was confused. It's a good movie, lots of action, and Wolverine is hot!!!
