I called all my sisters and friends and told them about this delightful way to spend the afternoon. They took their daughters and friends then said the same thing. but it so good!! it really makes you think how many of us out there are living our lives like she was... so sad and at the same time, so funny.

Anyway, there's really only one schmuck depicted here, and we've all had a beer with him at one time or another. While being brutally honest, Adrienne Shelley's movie captivates, entertains and inspires with this story .... and it was great to discover Andy Griffith. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Totally EnjoyableIn my recent world of movie going consisting of green ogres, superheroes and silly talking penguins, I can tell you that I found this movie so enjoyable. Keri Russell was excellent in her role of Jenna. The characters were quite funny and I really did have some great laughs. I even enjoyed Andy Griffith as Joe, go figure. Definitely not a blockbuster summer hit, but a truly enjoyable movie for a girls' night out. Men would hate how they are portrayed. Cheers for the late Allison Shelly. Was this review helpful? (Their problems are men and their solutions are money.) It's like the old TV show Alice. Kind of a 'small' film meaning quirky but good. Not totally predictable with no lull or morality BS. I'd see it again.
Pretty crazy that the girl who was the director and writer and supporting acrtress was murdered before the movie came out. Was this review helpful? If she would have kept my coffe cup filled, I would have given her another star, but it was not to be.
