I also happen to be very independent and stubborn, so I watched it anyway... 4 times so far. I love this movie!!I didn't care much for Whiney Houston's character, or performance either, but Angela Bassett and Lela Rochon were great, and Loretta Devine's performance was incredible. I've always been a Gregory Hines fan, but when he uttered the line 'I like a woman with a little meat on her bones' he enshrined himself in my Hollywood Heart of Fame forever. Wesley Snipes has a great part, also, sensitive and caring and loving......... If you're a woman, and you haven't seen this movie, borrow it from a friend or buy it and watch it this weekend. Better yet, watch it with a girlfriend. But don't rent it. You'll just waste your money because you'll want to run out and buy it after watching it, so you can see it over and over again. And don't watch this movie with a man; he'll ruin it for you by griping about everything in it. Unless you have a guy like Gregory Hines or Wesley Snipes. Yum! Was this review helpful?
