The characters were pretty smart. The movie had few errors, so it was pretty realistic. The story was good, the ending was okay. Was this review helpful? The whole movie is very jumpy, and while fun, it does not provide substance (or a story line). The ending is miserable. Beyond the story being far-fetched and cliche, it doesnt really go anywhere. You feel like the director-writing team started filming and made it up as they went along. On a positive note, this is a great movie if you love to yell at the screen (dont go in there, watch out behind you, are you bleeping kidding me??). The begining is very slow, the middle is jumpy, and the end is make-me-want-to-get-my-money-back horrible. Was this review helpful? I am really not a big horror movie fan because today it is more about violence and gore than a good story line. The movie was actually worth my while and worth the money. It wasnt the best movie in the world and will probably be forgotten about in the next year or so. There were twist and turns and it was very suspensful. I actually did get scared afterward..I went to the bathroom and was afraid to flush the toilet because I thought a killer would hear me!! I realized it was just a movie and I did flush the toilet so dont worry! But if you are thinking about seeing it and you like thrillers I really recommend that you go out and see it! Its not legendary, and it wont ever become a cult classic. Not to mention the ending isnt exactly the type of ending people normally go for. But, despite some of its short-comings, I actually enjoyed this movie. I mean, it wasnt long, it didnt drag out, and it was basically to the point. If you can suspend your disbelief long enough, and try to imagine yourself in their situation, you might be freaked out by it. Well, I thought it was pretty good anyways... Was this review helpful? The music, which can make or break a movie, was well written. Music tells you when something is terrifying, heatbreaking, violent or.. .over! The music swelled, lingered with a question in the air. We thought something else was coming. The camera work, following the girl so closely, told us something else was coming. ...... then BAM! CREDITS! Over! You think, huh? Well, I guess all the questions have been answered, but... The music did not resolve. Even if it did, the ending came too abruptly. I think the reviews on this movie were very harsh and almost didnt go see it because of them. It was a good scary flick without all the blood and guts. It was to the point and not drug out over 2 or 3 hours. Luke and Kate were great. Its a good movie for a married couple. Youll see why. It will make you wanna hug! Was this review helpful? You are left asking yourself, Thats it? Whats that supposed to mean? Maybe a sequel? THE MOVIE PREMISE IS HORRIBLE, THE ACTING IS NOT BELIEVABLE AND JUST TO BE HONEST THE ENDING WAS LIKE THE MOVIE......HORRIBLE.
IT IS EASILY ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE REGARDLESS OF GENRE.
I WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT AND DEMANDED MY MONEY BACK BUT I WAS JUST TOO EXCITED TO GET OUT OF THE THEATER AND GO HOME. PISSED OFF BUT STILL I WAS SO HAPPY HAPPY TO GO HOME.

Why would anyone in there right mind stay in a hotel room, after finding out they are being watched and may possibly end up like those before them? No one that I know. Lately a lot of the story lines for these Horror movie are just sorry. No wonder there is such fuss over movies with something to actually be scared about, no one is used to be frightened anymore. Well at least I didnt have to pay to see it, I really be heated if I did. If anyone was looking as to if they should see this or wait...Id wait till this came on VH1, better yet, TBS. Overall it was a pretty intense story line with characters that are pretty believable. Some of the parts seemed a tad unrealistic and predictable. On a scale of 1-10, I give this movie a 7.5. It really makes you wonder when you check into a motel or hotel if you are being watched by others. The technology is there and in this day and age with the kind of freaks that are out there, you never really know if you are being watched. Was this review helpful? This film barely should have got a PG-13 rating. R rating? Are you kidding me? My daughter is 9 and I could have taken her to see this. Vacancy is exactly what the movie was. Vacant!!! There was nothing of substance in this movie what so ever. Not endorsing bootleg movies.. but I would have asked for my money back if I would have saw the movie that way. Very predictable, I dont really understand why this movie got a R rating the ending was very very very WEAK and if dirty hotels and a video tape of someone being stabbed creeps you out THEN GO FOR IT !!
