I absolutely love this show, my sister and I every Thursday night sit and laugh from beginning to end. Its fresh, exciting and funny an dI hope it stays on for a long time to come. I had stopped watching TV a long time ago because there was nothing on TV that appealed to me. (Always the same thing) But Ugly Betty was different. From the very first episode I was hooked. If I cant make it ... thank God for TIVO.

Not only is it funny, its very realistic. Im sure many people can relate to many of the issues that go on in the episodes. This is the type of comedies that should be implemented in the American TV shows. Leave it to the talented mind (Salma Hayek) of someone not born in this country, to bring to television such an innovative show.
The most impressive part of the show is the sophisticated beautiful sets.It reminds one of a Hollywood movie.Obviously no expense was spared.
Some of the story lines are over the top, and not believable even by Bettys standards, (Bettys makeover for the dinner with the photographer? Or putting on the ridiculous costume for the shoot, She is not an idiot)
Other than that small critique, overall the show is a total hit in my estimation. Was this review helpful? Betty is charming, intelligent, funny, and confident! All of the characters each have their own quirks and colorful character...with some dark ones, which puts a nice balance to the story. But after flipping chanels and boring TV show...I decided to give it a try and now...CANT hardly get out of my sit. This show bring s special to many people especially people who neeeds encouragement and a little bit laugh. I like the characters portrayed and the theme they bring every show...
