Writing this is making me wanna view a 3rd time.Do yourself a giant favor and witness the experience before while it is still in theaters. Was this review helpful? It helped to attempt to capture what it is like to see this phenomenal band live (though I recommend experiencing them in person if given the chance). It looked really cool and it wasnt muddled with unnecessary 3D effects. I took a friend who has lived under a rock and doesn't know U2's music and she is now a convert. Highly recommend this movie to everyone! Long live U2!! Was this review helpful? Afterwards, I was short of words to describe the emotions and thoughts to describe this truly unique experience. First, I have always been a U2 fan. I have all of their DVDs and listen to their music frequently without a diminishing feeling of satisfaction or value. I went to an IMAX theatre to see this movie with my girlfriend and 5 other friends; we all thought it was innovative and more than what we had expected despite the expectations. Here's what stood out for me the most:
3D has come along way since the last time I saw a 3D movie. And, wow, what an experience. Especially because it was as if you were there, in the front row, and the concert was choreographed just for you.
Bono singing Miss Sarajevo--Pavaroti's part. It displays his true vocal range and superiority. Totally underrated as a singer.
You feel the energy, emotion, and passion on the stage that you don't in any other venue or setting, including the DVD. It's breath-taking.
Visually, it was spectacular. You could tell it was well-thought out, edited, and constructed. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-3 of 3 Per Page | ||
