When I first viewed the trailers and previews I thought the movie focused on the younger characters. Much to my surprise Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard stole the show. Consequently, all the actors gave great performances esp. Sanaa Lathan...she is becoming quite the Diva villain type!!
Congratulations to Tyler Perry and the total cast. Truly an excellent, must see, enlightening, enjoyable movie. Was this review helpful? It was different from Tyler Perry's usual story line (which I love). It had everything. It was funny, dramatic, and heartfelt. It made me laugh, cry and think about my personal relationships. It was unique, heartfelt, dramatic, and funny. All the key ingredients that make a top notch, A+, wonderful movie. I would definitley see it again. The characters were played to a tee, and I wouldnt change any of them. They each played their roles perfectly.Tyler Perry is an extraudinary writer, producer, and actor. He has an amazing gift and talent. He continues to defy what it means to be in Hollywood. He makes Hollywood...Hollywood doesnt makle him. He is a genius and definitely blessed. Just watch them to see what all the buzz is about and then end up disappointed.... Well this time I was actually intrigued by the previews and went ahead to see (of course after hearing all these great things about it). I wouldnt have believed how much the movie would effect me! I had to sit through to the end of the credits to pull myslef together I was so emotional. I still havent quite figured out if my tears were those of joy or sadness.. I saw it alone and really regretted doing so, I felt as if I needed a loved one by my side..

This was way different from your typical Tyler Perry Film story line. There is a little role reversal and its has a dark side. This movie was certainly one of his best! I know we are used to his Madea movies, but I tell you this far surpasses them! I am happy to how far he has come along. Freakin Great movie!
