So if you think you like the movie, I suggest you read the saga too.
So basically it starts out with Bella Swan moving to Forks. She, not much soon later, meets Edward Cullen. She finds it odd that he ignores her, and when he doesn't show the next day (at her high school), she starts to ask questions.
When he does return, he seems to have an attitude change. He introduces himself and Bella finds herself falling in love with him. She finds out what he is, vampire, and a new problem shows its face. They're (the Cullen family and Bella) playing baseball when another vampire coven arrives. James, the leader of the coven, smells that Bella is human and its up to the Cullens to keep James from killing Bella. Was this review helpful? I loved the movie so much that I went and bought the entire series. I think the movie was beautiful. The music was superb especially, bella's lullaby. My favorite scene is the the one of the meadow. The chemistry between Bella and Edward is intense. I have seen this movie 15 times, and i just cant stop seeing it. Was this review helpful? Twilight = epic fail.Both the movie and the book. It was plain nothing interesting and it was like watching a stupendously awful Charmed episode (even the episode would still be way better).Nothing made sense. Mrs. Meyer didn't know any thing about vampires and Jacob's tribe. Vampires don't sparkle! They are not homosexual disco balls walking around (sorry homosexuals. Some of the acting was over the top or just plain bad. If you do your homework, you will find that the actors were doing as they were told, they can't help if they were given bad direction and an even worse script. I'm not sure how Stephanie Meyer could ok the script when some parts of it were awful. The screenwriter did not even come close to capturing the relationship between Edward and Bella as was written in the book. They really skimmed over a lot, I realize that you can't have word for word, but they could have gotten it a lot closer. What was up with the field trip to a greenhouse? A total waste of time that was; they could have focused on developing Edward and Bella's relationship. With the writing the way it was; you as a viewer could not get into the movie, because you were waiting for it to get better and it never really did. I do believe that Robert and Kristen did the best they could with what they were given and they did have chemistry together. So again don't blame them for the short comings of others. Robert Pattinson's subtle strength is moving. His facial features, movements and projection and tone of voice really make this movie be better than most others. His charisma and charm are frightening in that they lay an imprint in the dreams of girls and women alike. Some guys probably too. His innocence and good character in "The Goblet of Fire" came out in the movie, I believe because of Pattinson's grace. Robert Pattinson is bound for top stardom. His ability to act is phenomenal! God rest his soul, Heath Ledger, would of had great and good competition walking side by side with Robert Pattinson. Keep it up, Robert! Thank you for great entertainment. Sign in 2 out of 3 users found this helpful ok but casting offi dont feel bella is the prettiest girl out there for a vampire as handsome as edward cullen to state the he has been waiting his whole life to fall for. dont get me wrong bella is attractive but her part should of been cast by the much more spell binding camilla belle. the chemistry wasnt quite there. some parts of the story made no sense or were forced.
lets see, bella arrives as new girl to school and gets greeted by popular gay news reporter for school who introduces her to his popular friends. dispite bellas lack of personality and goth like appearance she immediately makes best friends with the popular crowd on day one. within weeks she is beiing asked out to the prom by one of the most popular guys as well who she turns down for her first love edward.
all the while the best looking guy in school, edward cullen falls for bella based on her smell, and looks despite the fact that there are many more attractive women at the school.
what saved this movie is the superior acting of robert pattinson and the unique story line. the vampire baseball game added a nice touch. there wasnt much chemistry between edward and bella. this wasnt scarlett, and rhett that is for sure. as a male bella does nothing for me. but all in all a nicely reimaginated vampire story. Sign in 1 out of 2 users found this helpful  ehhPosted: 4/3/2009A review of Twilight by tatertots-love i honestly loved loved loved pattinson as edward. he really expressed intensity and passion. but i dont see the "chemisty" between pattinson and stewart. i dont! she was a horrible bella, maybe its because i didnt think of bella to be a total bland person in the book. steward lacked so much personality, it was like watching a zombie. i mean shes a pretty girl but looks dont necessarily fit the role unless you have the personality. where was the love? ugh.
anyways. it was really hard for me to watch because of her acting.
it doesnt correspond with the book in a lot of parts but i thought the movie storyline itself wasnt that bad. my only complaints are about stewart's bella. i think they need a new bella. Robert Pattinson is fantastic as Edward and Kristen Stewart plays a good Bella. Enjoyed the movie own the DVD movies like this you can enjoy love stories are my favorite and this one with a vampire is the best!!!! Was this review helpful?
