I dont think that role was good for Brad Pitt, I think he butchered it. Brad Pitt is over rated. There wasnt enough batte scenes, I didnt like how the movie mainly focused on Achilles and his eagerness for immortality. I thought the best acting was from Eric Banas character, too bad he died. I did like the whole Trojan horse offering, I liked that part in the mythology. Overall the movie didnt catch much of the actul battle and Orlando Bloom was a @ in this movie. I didnt really like it, but for Eric Banas sake, I gave it a two. Was this review helpful? ITS NOT JUST ABOUT ALL THE HOTT GUYS BUT THEY ARE SO HOTT. BRAD HAS NEVER LOOKED HOTTER AND THE ACTING AND THE BATTLE SEQUENCES WERE AWSOME.

With three hot main charachters, Achilles-Brad Pitt, Hector-Eric Bana, Paris-Orlando Bloom. A great story about two brothers, Paris and Hector, and their armies defending their kingdom Troy, against Menelaus, and his army. The acting was all done well, except I disliked how Orlandos character, Paris portrayed his roll, but him being HOTT made up for that. But, than again it all added to the story. Hector, (Eric Bana), played his roll exceptionally well and his death was a tragedy. The end has a surprising twist, and two more deaths that you may not have expected. With three tragic deaths, mild sex moments, and epic battle scenes..this to me will be one my favorites movies ever! Was this review helpful? A few disappointments
1) Brad Pitt, although very cute, was not a strong enough actor to portray Achilles.
2) The love story was weak and sort of stupid.
3) I hated seeing Orlando being a major whimp.
4) In all the writings, Helen is a brunette, not a blonde with a German accent.
5) Back in those times, there is no way they could feed an army of that size. TOO many computer enhancements in that department.
The film was enjoyable anyway. It entertained me for the duration of the film. Im glad I did not waste my money by going to the theatre or buying it. Was this review helpful? I never read any part in the Iliad saying that Briseis was cousin to Hector and Paris? Wasn't she daughter of Chriseis? oh well. And the actress for Helen was horrible. I mean sure she was beautiful, but I mean for someone to play Helen it should have been like a real talented actress, not a newcomer. Newcomers should start out with something small, not expected to be a lead in a blockbuster, yeesh? She never really spoke in the whole damn movie. All she had to do was look pretty and cry a little. I really liked Hector's wife Andromache better though. She was great. And so was Eric Bana. I just hated that Paris didn't have a bigger part. and I hated how they portrayed him as a chicken. and Eric Bana but the character of Orlando Bloom didn't give him much space like in the three part movie lord of the rings and also there wasn't too much space for the feminine appearence but over all it was a charming story which we loved. I love Greek Mythology so I had to check this movie out. From the very beginning it caught my attention. I loved seeing all those sweaty men in those little leather outfits that showed off all their best assets. Especially Bad Pitt. I wasn't a Brad Pitt fan before this movie, but now that I've seen it I am. I really liked the character he played. Cockiness really fits him well. The thing about this movie, is that although there were fighting scenes and blood spattering scenerios, it was never "too much" or "overly dramatic". I think it's cool to know that all the actors did their own stunts. This movie definetly is good and it makes you want to pay atenttion to every detail. It's the best movie I have seen in a long time. This is one historical movie you won't want to fall asleep on! Was this review helpful? I just bought it today after long arguements with my 17 year old son, he didn't want me to buy it but I am happy I did. During the sad parts I did cry, especailly at the end Brad Pitt was very moving, the whole movie was very moving. I will watch it again and again as I do with most of the dvd's I have boughten. I think it was put together very well and the selection of actors couln't have been more perfect. The action was so real. I give you all, who made this film, a hand and congrats. Please continue making more films like this one. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend you do!!

Eric Bana will surely be called to more roles. Also it was good to see Sean Bean (Major Sharpe) in character again. Brad Pitt and Peter OToole just tells me Brad you got a lot of class.
