Good and Bad in the Garden of Evil was the first and now several years later, Tropic Thunder was the other. I was offended from the very beginning of the movie when it appeared that now it seemed ok to mock the injuries of our service men and war veterans. I was amazed at the list of hollywood " stars " that kept showing up and there simply wasn't anything entertaining about their parts. It was just stupid. Overkill seems to be the only tool in far too many writers and producers arsenal of weapons in their attempt to entertain a small segment of the potentially eager viewing audience. Now after hearing that Tom Cruise has won some kind of award for his part in the movie simply adds to my befuttlement. Was this review helpful? It was so unique to most movies out there. whoever hated this movie just takes themselves WAY too seriosuly. Lighten up people! life is soposed to be FUN!!!

I sat through the movie, and when it was finished, I realized that I had just wasted 2 hours of my life for nothing. The one saving grace from this movie is Robert Downey, Jr. Everytime he said anything, I laughed out loud, but that was the only time I laughed for the entire movie. Avoid this movie at all costs. Great acting from all involved, from Jack Black's Eddie Murphy-Chris Farley fusion to the unforgettable Robert Downey Jr full-emersion acting. It's not a dick and fart kind of comedy but it makes fun of actors that ride that rollercoast for all it has. I mean personally i am tired of seeing the nutty professor type movies. Jack Black's trailer was amazing. If you want more dialog buy or rent the director's cut. There is even more things to laugh at, especially RDJ his facial expressions are priceless. I recommend this movie to anyone who can laugh at not only at others but laugh at themselves. Oh also if you see the director's cut, listen to the commentary RDJ is still in character, very funny stuff. This is for those who remember his line about not dropping character until he does the dvd commentary. "I'm a lead farmer mother f---er!" I think is one of the funniest lines in the movie, next to him saying, "I'm just like a nervous little boy playing with his dick." You never see these lines coming which makes this movie a home-run! How on earth did this thing get 4 stars. Are we even talking about the same movie. Or even from the same planet?
