Read a summary or synopisis of the movie to understand what it is about. Suffice it to say that I am surprised that it is so poorly marketed. It is a lot better, and I mean this seriously, than about 95 percent of the movies I have seen this summer and I have seen a lot. A good story line and multiple themes make this movie interesting on several levels. Was this review helpful? Its a suspense film at least as good as any of the Bourne megahits.
Perhaps the cast doesn't rival Oceans 11, 12 or 13. But Woody Harrelson and Ben Kingsley give excellent performances and the director knows his Hitchcock
The plot is simple. Two innocent Americans returning from doing charity work in China take the Transsiberian railroad were they meet two other young Americans who may or maynot be drug smugglers. Soon the Russian police are on their trail. Murder, rape and torture soon follow.
At the end of picture, in the teater I was at, the audience rose and applauded.
