To all the people bitching because they don't want their 6 year old to see this... check the rating. It wasn't made for kids under 13 without parental guidance. That means you have the opportunity to explain to your children some of the stuff that is happening in the movie. BE A PARENT AND DO YOUR JOB! If you want to shelter your kids put them back in the closet and leave this movie to the big boys. This movie is awesome. Despite some plot vs old cartoon inconsistencies that are inevitable this movie is exactly what it's supposed to be: An action film with machines that turn into vehicles. Anything else is a plus. Sexuality is not the end of the world people. Especially a fine form such as Megan Fox. Once again this movie is PG13 so some cussing and pretty girls is perfectly acceptable unless of course you did not perform a sexual act to bring the children you want to shelter from this movie into this world. Of course they are probably asexual also so I can see where you wouldn't want them to ever see what they will miss when they become the age that sam and mikayla? are in the movie. This movie is great and I recommend it to all. AND TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SAY THIS MOVIE IS EVEN REMOTELY RACIST YOU ARE AN IDIOT! HOW CAN ROBOTS BE BLACK? MANY PEOPLE OTHER THAN BLACK PEOPLE HAVE GOLD TEETH. HIP HOP IS A CULTURE NOT A RACE! GET OFF IT ALREADY. Good Job Michael Bay! Was this review helpful? I'm a huge fan of Transformers in general (G1, For the win!) and i even liked Bay's first outing, but this second attempt was literally everything we as fans were afraid the first film would be. The plot was an amalgamation of major points throughout the Transformers mythos congealed into an incoherant, immature folly of movie making. there's a laundry list of issues with this film but i'll keep it short: Devastator.
How can Devastator seige a pyramid hundreds of miles away from the climactic battle but, at the very same time, have the sum of his parts in said movie-ending clash? how can the pieces that make up Devastator be in two places at once? someone told me that there were these "builders" called "constructicons" and they were actually Devastator but where in the film was that even addressed? Nowhere, that's where! How are we as an audience suppose to understand there are MANY of these units, all with the capability to combine? more to the point, how can one maintain that this is a quality film when there is a GAPING plot hole like this?
There are a ton of other things ( Bay's complete and utter lack of any sense of time or the borderline racist portrayal of the twins and lest we not forget Optimus Prime's completely out of character aggression during his fight with the Fallen among many, many other inconsitentcies) but i'd rather not get into those. In the end, this film is flashy and loud but poorly executed. See it if you like but you have to compeltely stop higher thinking function to truly enjoy this atrocity, something i personally find incredibly difficult. Was this review helpful? You, ladies and gents, need a new line of work. Look at your ratings of the Transformers 2.One of the highest grossing films of 2009. Sitting pretty at 396M dollars and you all give it a horrific rating. Listed 17th world wide of all time highest grossing films. Sounds like a success to me. The people have spoken we don't need you. goodbye! Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 8/17/2009A review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by griffinchef I thought this movie was well done and entertaining. The special effects were first rate! I like that there were short breaks in the action during the movie, and it was not as unrelenting as the first movie. The breaks in the action gave you time to catch your breath and also allowed for character development. I do agree that some of the sexuality could have been left out of the movie and the language was excessive, especially considering that children are a huge audience for this movie. During a couple scenes my wife and I had to cover our children's eyes, and the twins in the movie, although funny, could have been a lot less foul mouthed. Overall our entire family really enjoyed this movie, and we all agreed that it was better than the first. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 8/10/2009A review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by humantorch_4 I am a huge fan of Transformers. I loved the first movie. However, this one I did not like this one much because of the language and kissing. Why did they do that? Don't take children under 13. Anyway, high hopes for the third one(comiing out on 1/1/12)! Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 8/9/2009A review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by Chezman8 This movie is action packed. Optimus Prime is by far the star of this film. Just excellent. Almost as good as Star Trek. Was this review helpful? This one was okay there was some action, humor etc. But I must say the Language it this was completely appalling and unnecessary. Sexual explicit s were unneeded as well. I can't even enjoy watching this with my kids and will not be buying when it is released. The plot was a little lacking and overall a waste of money and time. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 8/6/2009A review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by Thundercat-Lover While certainly not as good as the original, 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' does certainly have its moments. With a host of new robots to freshen up the roster and the return of so many of the original actors to familiarize the concept, the action in Revenge is certainly sustained throughout this nearly 2-1/2 hour movie. However, something just seems to fall short of making this anything more than this movie is supposed to be - a creature-laden, special fx, summer popcorn movie. Perhaps it's the corny jokes - so funny in the original, but painfully overused in the sequal - or the unnecessary, and much too frequent, profanity - inserted more for shock value than anything else- that leave you wanting more from the Transformers long after the credits end. It's only for 8 year olds that like Pokemon, Gormitti and stuff. It was the first time, i was so bored, that i almost slept (since the lights were off too) in da cinema. I fought to keep my eyes open, and i lost some scenes. If ur a female over 11, i recommend you not to see this movie. Also, it lasted for two hours or so. Was this review helpful?
