Can anyone tell me what that phrase Im your Huckleberry means? I absolutely love it and know he used it twice in that movie, of course no one has ever been able to tell me where the word cracker came from origionally either but Im still trying ) The other best in this movie has to be Val Kilmers performance, he did steal the show as Doc Holiday at the end of his days now didnt he?

I have loved this movie since I saw it in the theatre with my Dad. He always loved westerns, and I just went along with him. I fell in love with this movie! All of the excitement, story-lines, characters, tension, frustration and passion really made this an exceptional film. Val Kilmer blew me away with his redition of Doc Holiday, and I have been a loyal Kilmer fan to this day. He never ceases to amaze me, but this accurate portrayal will forever be my lasting impression of a phenomenal man.

The reviews for Tombstone are all good, but how can you mention Van Kilmer 's Doc Holliday (and his tin cup) without mentioning Michael Biehn's Johnny Ringo and the complete Latin duel. All the characters were well performed, but I believe Biehn deserves mention for pulling out a very real performance for Johnny Ringo, as a man with a totally cold, dark soul. If you want to see this movie at its finest, get the Vista series (director's cut) and enjoy a great, believable western. I watch the movie by plan most times, but if I'm channel surfing, and it comes on, I'm stuck. It's just too good to passby.

Im not the western type, how ever History is a subject my family enjoy. The movie was very real, exciting, very dramatic and the best part that the movie makers kept it mostly all adventurous to the point where you stay with the movie waiting for the next dramatic scene. The movie shows brave heores trying to balance the communiuty by stoping THE OUTLAWS form controling the town. In the same token, you get in insides of the OUTLAWS, thier characters, behavior, and so on, let us not leave out the Romance, ovew all the movie was a hit.

If you rent or buy this movie only to see Val Kilmer in arguably his best performance on the big screen. You won't be dissapointed! His portrayal of Doc Holiday is beyond convincing, it is real. As this movie with it's "All-Star" cast paces itself the director carefully devolops the unique bond between characters. Especially interesting is the bond between Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) and Doc Holiday (Val Kilmer) a chemistry that is both intriguing and confusing is clarified near the end of this film by the Director. If you value right from wrong and understand the meaning of friendship and family you will find many ways in which to enjoy this movie. Whether it is action, relationships or even historical factoids this movie brings it all to the table....just one warning, don't try and have dinner while watching this action piece.

A great historical film, while not completely acurate in some scenes, it is still a great first time film for anyone trying to find out information on the Earp Bro. and their days in Tombstone

Posted: 12/3/2003A review of Tombstone by Countryboy228035
This is I must say the best western movie I have ever seen. From the small details of customs to award winning performances. I have seen this movie 50 times or more and I never get tire of it. Kurt Russell plays Wyatt Earp very well. The line that sticks in one head is when Virgil and the three gals are departing from the train and a cowboy was going to kill them both. Then out of know where Wyatt comes and kills one of them and tells one of the cowboys that hell is coming with him. Great Movie.<br>Ps: If you like this movie see Unforgiven by Clint Eastwood.

Val Kilmer, for best supporting actor. How he didn't receive even a nomination for his show stealing part is beyond me. Kilmer's rendition of the TB ridden &quot;;Doc&quot;; Holiday, close to the end of his own trail, is nothing short of fantastic. The sub story of Doc and Johnny Ringo's (M. Biehn)inevitable showdown is as good as the OK Corral meeting betwen the Earp and Clanton gangs. Kurt as Wyatt is able, Powers as leader of the &quot;;Cowboys&quot;; is an opium smoking menace. Lots of gun play, pistol whipping, and over all &quot;;Wild West&quot;; type activities make this one a watchable romp. Billy Bob makes an appearance as a bully Pharoah dealer, that doesn't care for the hand dealt by Wyatt. &quot;;Skin that smoke wagon.&quot;;

What an excellent movie. I was enchanted from start to finish. All the fellas put on an award winning performance. I feel in love with Val Kilmer in this movie and found all new respect for westerns. There is no movie to compare to. This movie has a unique style of its own.Simply loved it. Thought the traveling actress was a bit &quot;;bothersome&quot;;, nonetheless, Wyatt ended up with love to last him the rest of his life. Now that's true love.Thanks Guys!

Speaking from the standpoint of one of the movie's greatest fans, I was simply blown away by the staggering performance that Val Kilmer made in this movie. As the tuberculosis-striken Doc Holiday, Kilmer arrives at the small town of Tombstone, AZ to get to drier climate after contracting the deadly disease in Atlanta. There he meets the Earps, Wyatt(Kurt Russell), Morgan (Bill Paxton), and Virgil(Sam Elliot). Together, the group must bring law and order to a town that is run by the toughest Cowboys in the west, such as Curly Bill Brocious, Ike Clanton, and Johnny Ringo. George P. Cosmatos simply does a GREAT job of directing. The OK Corral scene would have to be one of the top scenes in the movie, along with the Holiday-Ringo duel.
