who am I? where am I? what happend to my cheese sandwich with kraft cheese on moldy bread???

Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  This Should Have Been The Third MoviePosted: 8/28/2007A review of TMNT by Disappointed_Critic If anyone is scared of the monsters in this movie, then you truely are a weakling that needs to be going through boot camp, or at least go out for football. In my opinion, this movie was the best out of all the other movies. The only thing that I thought was scary when I watched this, was the aligning of the planets and nothing more. I really loved the part when Splinter had gotten the mask from the villian, and placed it with all the other masks of their previous villians. I still think that if there is another movie, then Chris Evans should never play Casey Jones. I think Elias Koteas should be Casey Jones again. He was the best version of Casey ever in all of the originals. The first Turtles movie was the best though. The second was more of a guilty pleasure, and the third was just so terrible that this movie should be the third. And, this rant is coming from someone who was born in the early 80s, and got to see the first Turtles movie in theaters. But, I will end this here and get some lunch. Cowabunga, Dudes!!! WELL it doesn't basically this movie was 45 minutes longer then it should of been and as far as I'm concerned they should of brought back Shredder for this movie he was the greatest TMNT villian that I can remember. The villians in this movie didn't hardly talk until the end anyways and then the TMNT beat stonrg * immortal rock monsters WAAAAYYY to easily. So to me it seemed after they got over the inital 30 minutes of the movie they just started throwing stuff together so I say TRY AGAIN lol. You should only watch this movie once and get your own opinion but after that I think most will agree they should just remake the originals because they were ALL GREAT!!! Was this review helpful? The graphics were still cartoonish looking, it very much reminded me of the incredibles. Some of the few complaints I have would be, that the turtle lair was too lit up, considering there in a dank tunnel in the ground there was way too much lighting. Splinter, who by the way had no robot limbs, ( contrary to what others might tell you ) wasn't the least bit old looking. His eyes were of a newborn and his fur perfectly combed and fluffy. Not a single wrinkle in his face or a speck of dirt on his clothes. April was freakishly skinny, to the point of making Barbie jealous.
Guess that goes along with the cartoonish style they were going for but..its a bit much. The animation was great from my perspective, plenty of action. Can't say I disliked anything about the movie except that...Donatello had basically no role whatsoever. You barely even notice he's here. Still I have to recommend it to anyone that enjoys ass kicking animation. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Spectacular VisualsThe movie was lacking in story at some parts, but the main conflict for power between Raph and Leo was an excellent underlaying, and at times main story point. I was a little worried in the first scenes with the turtles being in CGI because i was so used to seeing them in the suits, since I grew up watching those turtles. I got used to it after a few scenes and enjoyed the movie. The CGI or the characters were very cartoony for both the turtles and human characters, but the textures on both were amazing. The strangest part about this movie is how amazingly real the animated sets are. It really looks like a junlge and really looks like a city. If you got rid of the animated characters, you wouldnt be able to tell its a fake street. The fight scenes were spectuacular and do the turtles proud. It was a great movie for a turtle fan, an average tale for the average movie goers. I loved it personally and cant wait for it to come out on DVD.

My kid brother and I grew up with the origional TMNT and I even remember seeing the first live action movie in theaters. I went to see this version with very low expectations but was quite happy with the film over all. The move wasnt funny, it wasnt action packed. The Villains could not hold a stick to the shredder. It seemed that the action was not good, probably to keep the PG rating. The few comedic moments in the movie were not enough to make me like this move. I must admit though I like the new look of the turtles, but was not so happy with April or KC they look like little kids? And Splitters voce keeped reminding me of that cartoon Avatar the last air bender so I could not get into it. This move is for the kids and fans of the new tmnt . If you liked the old school tmnt then this is probably not for you. Dont get me wrong it ok ,but it not good, there are one or two good parts but the story is just mediocre. This is a move that had a lot of potential and let it slip there its hands. I guess if they had made a pg13 tmnt it would have

To a person who grew up with the turtles in the 80s this movie was fantastic. They really nailed each of the turtles personalities. This movie isnt so much based off the Saturday morning cartoons of yesteryear but moreso from the original comics by Eastman and Laird. But if you were a fan of the comics or the orginal show then youll be happy with the film.
First off Id like to say that the visuals are absolutely gorgeous. This is definitely some of the best CGI out as of late. Dont believe me? Just watch the fight scene on the rooftops, in the rain. For those whove already seen the movie, you know exactly what Im talking about. That scene looks so wonderful that the skin textures almost look too good, and mixed with the weather effects of the rain, oh man, it makes for one spectacular fight sequence.
The only complaint I have is that the ending battle was a little disappointing. I was expecting to see some huge battle royale type of finish, yet I was left yearning for more. Like getting a taste of some delicious chocolate cake and having it yanked away just as you taste the flavor. A few more minutes added to the scene wouldve made things a lot better in my opinion.
Overall, it was a great movie and I walked away happy. Cant go wrong with that. Was this review helpful? Ive been a fan of the original comic when I first read it back in the late 80s. I was quite impressed with their first movie adaptation with live actors. And now here we are in 2007 and theyre back. Its about time!
The story takes place years after the turtles had encountered and defeated their arch nemesis, the Shredder. Since then things have calmed down a bit and theyve all gone off to pursue personal goals in their lives. Donatello took a job as tech support for computers, Michaelangelo hosts childrens birthday parties, Raphael becomes a night time vigilante and Leonardo, the leader, has gone off on his own. Splinter still remains to care for the turtles, but everyone is feeling disconnected without Leonardo. But now theres trouble brewing in the city, an ancient legend returns and 13 monsters run amuck in the city. Its up to the Turtles to band together, with the help of some old friends and some unlikely allies to save the city once again.
The pace of the movie moves a little fast for my taste, but its suitable for children because they seem to like things a little faster. The 13 monsters are a bit scary for children who arent used to seeing creepy monsters, but they dont overwhelm the viewer throughout the movie. Overall, the theme of the movie is about family and reconciliation. From start to end, the movie leaves you feeling comforted that the TMNT have returned!
I rate the movie 4 stars... one for each turtle. Was this review helpful? I grew up watching the turtles and my 5 year old son has always loved them. He was even a turtle for halloween.
He absolutely loved this movie. As soon as it was over he looked at me and said we need to buy this movie and he has not stopped talking about it since. We highly suggest you take your family to see this. Was this review helpful? Sign In | ||
