So how is my comment about a white person left out showing racism? I do not care if the other bad guy was left out. I feel very confident that if the show was about a white family and the black lady was omitted, you would have been saying the same thing that I wrote. Don't be a hypocrite. I went to the movie with my wife and couldn't find one I was interested in. My wife said let's try This Christmas. We've done this before and really seen some losers. This was not one of them. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this movie. Well written, well acted, well balanced... and a perfectly lovable story. I'll buy it when it hits DVD. It may not be a comedy but the funny parts are hilarious. I'm calling my friends to recommend this flic. Was this review helpful? Their family drama is something that most families can relate to. I recommed you go see the movie. It is not a comdey so don't expect much laughter. I was up in the air about seeing this movie, but Im really glad I did. It wasn't perfect, but there are several seens that are laugh out loud funny, and anyone with a large family will easily relate to the characters. The cast is well-balanced and believable, and the story line is smooth. I was so happy to see a movie in which Black folks weren't selling or using drugs, in gangs, or in "the hood." We live in a variety of environments so it was refreshing and realistic to see a movie that reflects another common type of American family.

Everyone should see this movie, it is full of laughter, some tears of joy and some from fears. It shows how we help one another grow into the next level of maturity as a family. The actors do a great job of showing family traits, but how each family member still hold onto their specifics personalities. Very good movie...highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
