Well this one very thought brought me to the brink of porn. Yes porn. Why, you might ask? Well because, as I sit here with my popcorn and soda pops I can't help but wonder if the universe in a whole, is real. The K-Y Jelly that I put in the freezer would not turn to milk. I need more peaches before I go........Boom!! I am here standing on the street, buying some meat. I don't know why I am here. Fate, Science, cold beer. I just don't know. I need to transume my transfusion. I don't know if the moon is going to cry.. I hope that this will help you consider riding you bicycle to the park in the winter. Was this review helpful? I did see behind the scenes footage where the producers brought in this "dummy dog" to act as a fake to bite the actor square in the "you know where". Then they proceed with a real dog and filming began yet again with the actor posing as if he were in real agonizing pain from the "you know where" biting incident. In a way, I know that it's all camara tricks to make the movie watcher think that the "actor" is in pain from the dog bite, but in reality, it's all a camera trick. I give this movie three stars and two thumbs up. Was this review helpful? The best scene is when she mistakes $@# for hair gel.If you played a game of sharades and copy this action and the movie will be guess stright away. Getting caught in a zipper while going to the loo,a pervert spy and a pizza delivery imposter include some of my favorite scenes.The end loses a bit of laugh when the oldman trys to shot Mary(Cameron Diaz) choosen lover.Just a bit gross I think.If you loved meet the parents staring Ben Stiller you diffently love this movie.The first time I saw the movie I loved it and it is still on my list of favorites as a great stomach lauching laugh. Sign In 0 out of 1 users found this helpful  Titters and Tugs at the heart stringsPosted: 3/17/2003A review of There's Something About Mary by timbuctwotoo The Farrely Bros sense of gross-out humor does little to challenge the audience's intellect and can hardly be considered transgressive in any meaningful way. This film barely transcends the low standards of generic Hollywood sit-com style comedy. What saves it is Cameron Diaz charismatic turn as the ";girl first loved back in high school";, she turns a potentially silly role into something sweet and genuine with sass and charm. Matt Dillon's performance as the turn-coat private eye is also amusing. Ben Stiller is fine here but isn't called upon to do much more than play the heart broken schmuck we all can identify with. (He was funnier in a similar role in ";Meet the Parents";). Jonathan Richman, the original modern lover, is the extra bonus track; yay!By the way, to all you other reviewers, don't be a-holes by giving away the endings of movies (be they good or bad). Don't be fooled. While Stiller's acting remains mildly funny, the movie has very tasteless scenes, a poor plot, and is very boring at times. The movie relies on slapstic, and there are only a few traces of wit. I do NOT recommend this movie to people who do not like vulgar slapstic comedy. Was this review helpful? However, there is an accident and the plans are canceled. Stiller meets Mary in later years and sends a spy to observe her. The spy realizes that Mary is cute and he falls in love too.
