Not much more can be said about this forever Classic.
This movie, keeping the release year of 1939 in mind, is pure genius.
The tale tells of a personal journey, from start to finish, that we have all taken at some point in our lives and lays the ground work for our lives beyond the Yellow Brick Road and, for our perspective of what really matters for our future existence.
I will watch it again and again!

I believe that this movie was just created, so well. It has many major thrills and adventures. The best scene is when Dorothy steps out of her black and white house and enters a beautiful world that she never even knew existed. It makes so much since, being a Kansas girl myself, I understand that black and white liberates dull and lack of color. Then going to a different place is colorful, exciting, and very intense. The only problem I see in this movie would be that the witch is scary. For when I was a child I was frightened. And that being the only flaw, that makes this movie a wonderful adventure for all children, and even adults. The first time I saw this movie, I was only a child myself. I remember the delight I had in my face when a climatic scene happened. Like when the lion, scarecrow, and tinman get pulled down by the winkies. But then they get up and they have on the winkies cloths. What a climax that was. I feel that Judy Garland did an awesome part as the young Dorothy who only wanted to go "somewhere over the rainbow." Thank You

I love this movie like crazy. I'm 17 years old and I've been a fan of The Wizard of Oz since I can remember. Judy Garland is my all-time favorite actress of back in the day. Although I haven't had time to watch the movie I certainly will never forget about it. I can remember that I would sing along to all the songs and I still do to this day.

This movie is my all time favorite! Judy Garland is one of the most inspirational actresses ever known. The actors were perfect and protrayed their parts well. Toto is one of the best on screen animals EVER!! This film is a classic, and perfect for anyone!!

The Wizard of Oz is a true classic to both adults and children today. The imagery comes to life as the audience joins Dorothy in her trip back to Kansas, feeling her sorrow, disappointment, fear, and finally, happiness. It is a colorful, vibrant movie that I could watch over and over.

Dude, some guy killed himself in the background as the characters are walking off the scene singing joyfully along the yellow brick road. It kind of sucks, but I wonder why the film crew didn't notice that the take they kept was the one in which the guy died. Did they only do one take, or did they just not notice. Other than that, the movie was okay, but I think that they could've re-shot that scene before the original release.

What can you say about this movie except for the fact that its sheer genius. The screenwriters, mainly Noel Langley, developed a movie that not only teaches family values, but digs into the depths of the human mind and imagaination. This 1939 MGM classic can only be described as breath taking. The small budget and hard work of each one of the main characters paid off trmemdously in the end. Many things have been said about the making of "The Wizard of Oz," but some are not true. For instance, the rumor that there is a munchkin hanging from a tree in the segment where Dorothy (Judy Garland) and the scarecrow (Ray Bolger) meet the tinman (Jack Haley) for the first time is completely false. It is simply a stork flapping its wings. If you look closely, you will notice that there are many exotic birds and animals in that scene. A fun fact about the lion (Bert Lahr) is that his costume was devised of two real lion skins that he stated "felt like he was smashed inbetween two matresses." "The Wizard of Oz" is a classic family film and probably will remain so as long as people still watch movies.

The Wizard of Oz has always been my favorite film though many films since it's debut have enjoyed greater special effects, scripts, and subjects. This film seems to make an impact on viewer because it drives home two points: the first, that everyone fanticizes and that the fantasies take on both good and bad consequences; secondly, that no matter where we look for happiness it can usually be found within ourselves and in our origins. The film itself is innocent and beautiful and reminds this writer of times when responsibilities were few. It contains reminders of our roots, families, and how, though things make look cloudy, there are people who love us and value us. They may be dull, they may be impatient-but our families are there-loving us without reservation. The Wizard of Oz is truly a wonderful testament to family and friends and will forever be celebrated for generations to come.

I Loved this movie since I was little, and to this day if I dont see something I would like to watch I will put in The Wizard of OZ. That just goes to show how great of a movie it is.
