Date ![]() Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 5/6/2007A review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley by nikithewolf If the makers of this film wanted us to feel the constant and overwhelming tension and terror experienced by these Irish villagers, then it worked but between having difficulty with hearing and understanding the conversations among the Irish freedom fighters and having to listen to the screaming of the British invaders-- repeated endlessly -- I left the movie feeling numb and disconnected from the story and its characters.
