Some of you should get a grip, somehow i sense two or three people saying they aren't going to watch the show any more because of sheen expressing his views, are the same person. He's american and he should be allowed to speak his mind even if it's against the government, being patriotic doesn't mean to blindly follow the government but to wish the best for america.
that said this show is awesome. I love the dialogs and the intelligence flowing out of each of the characther and the human aspect they portrait in presindent bartlet, wheW! if only real presidents were like that our problems would be minimal, too bad it's fiction. The West Wing is possibly the best written and best acted show on television. I enjoy each character equally, and when I think that one outshines the other , well,, here comes along another great scene that blows the rest out of the water. I catch all of the reruns on Bravo and anywhere else I can find them. At the end of each episode I find myself proud to be an American. (I do mourn a little for Rob Lowe) <br>Bravo to this cast, directors, producers and writers. Thanks for the great entertainment. Was this review helpful? Other than that this is one excellent show to watch. Was this review helpful? I fine Leo at his best when he gets angry with a suboridnate and orders them to comply. BJ is such spin doctor, probably the way it truly is. The only show I watch with regularity. It has quickly become my favorite show. Having the previous seasons on DVD allows me to catch up, and re-watch favorite episodes on rainy days. I can't wait for the rest of the seasons to be available. Was this review helpful? A superb script has in recent months been complemented by an underlying political idealogy (which presumably reflects the writers own views) which is refreshing when placed next to the harsh reality of current American presidential conduct, particularly in its generous view of the rest of the world. I'm talking about the Sound Design that is a constant during almost any filmic experience. Everybody talks about the actors, the director, the writing, etc., etc. But when was the last time you heard anybody talk about the ubiquitous background sound that floats a show along and keeps it moving? So, I just want to say that the sound design on this show is KICK ASS!!! It is unobtrusive when it needs to be and comes forward to push the plot along when that is necessary. Whoever is responsible for it should be acknowledged. Was this review helpful? But now the show is becoming so politsized by Sheen's Left Wing diatribe that it should now be called either the ";Anti-Bush Show"; or the ";Left Wing";, instead of the ";West Wing";!Mr. Sheen has completely swung around to a Left Wing Nut that I prefer to watch my own DVD's instead of the gibberish he is expousing. The political bent of the lead actor of any major show can and has destroyed the uniqueness of what was initially a great show called, ";West Wing!"; Was this review helpful? However, this year the show has become more and more political, and yes, I do understand that it is a show about politics, but Aaron Sorkin had managed to keep this aspect of the Presidency at a low profile, until this season. I will remain a loyal fan of this show as long as it runs, but I hope the change that occured this year is only temporary. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-11 of 11 Per Page | ||
