Overall the movie was o.k. Definetly better than the 1st. I totally agree witht the other critics, Stewart needs a acting coach; Robert can use a little also. I think Edwards makeup was overdone; He also needed to hit the gym a little more; and what's up with the terrible wigs Edwards family had to wear!! Jaspers was the worst. Can someone please tell me when Jacob( Lautner) turns 18, so I don't feel bad finding him so damn sexy!!! His transformation was incredible. Would love to seen more interaction with the pack. Those guys were great!!! Can't wait to see Eclipse!! I hope it doesn't take another year. They should start making it now. Oh one more thing~~ Pattisona nd Stewart need to work on their kissing scenes, wasn't feeling it! Please Rob less lipstick next time; your're still cute but less lipstick.

Ugh, this movie was pretty horrible, not as bad as Twilight, but it was still horrible. I know these films are not meant to get oscars or any other type of prestigious film award, but I was hoping for a little substance. Twilight was unbearable and I thought with all the money that it raked it in that the producers would invest in acting coaches, better writers, pretty much better everything. The only thing that was improved were the effects, though still mediocre to most films, it surpassed what was in twilight. Now about the acting... I didn't see it!! These actors are seriously horrible!!! I've read the books and yes Bella is suppose to be awkward, but this is plain old bad. And it wasn't just kristen stewart, Rob pattinson was horrible too and the rest of the supporting cast also seemed lost as to how they were suppose to act. People- no scratch that- those obsessed with the fantasy, can't see that this was a terrible film and they just feed into the whole twilight movie craziness because of the fantasy. This was seriously a joke.

At this stage, any entry to the "series" will be loved by the fan base, but as literature and film this is just, well, crap! Abercrombie & Fitch, official Vampire and Werewolf outfitters...

I saw New Moon yesterday - I've been anxiously awaiting this since seeing the 1st one in April with my neice, and subsequently reading the saga over 5 times. Over all, I thought the movie was good. I appreciated the vibrant way the film was shot - the dreary blue/gray haze of the first one was a little over kill for me. The scenery was colorful and detailed and actors' wardrobes were a lot nicer - The first one seemed like Edward wore the same three shirts for the whole show. I liked that the other Cullens had more dialogue and development in this one; we get to see that the vamps are really charming and fun- not just zombies that mope and stare all the time. Bella could have reached a litter deeper in some areas, well actually I think her performance was the worst in the film. I expected a little more anguish when she was left behind in the woods and when she reunites with the Cullens. More along the lines of what she showed in the hospital recovery scene in Twilight where showed more range to me (No, wait, you can't leave, what are you talking about, No - I really felt it then, this time...not so much!) Kudos to Taylor in his Jacob transformation - this guy acted his heart out and stole the show! I almost changed to team Jacob, but IMO, both of these guys are too good for her - (Frailty thy name is woman!) Sheen's performace of Aro was spot on - elegantly charmingly sinister! The Wolf Pack actors nailed it, Dad Swan and Mike also acted well and Alice did not disappoint! I think Chris Weitz did a good job, the way he brought the werewolves to life was stellar, the movie remained true, he even made the story less boring (this really is the dud book of the saga for me). The flashback of the meadow was more beautiful here than the original ( Oh Ms.Hardwicke, why, WHY did you do that !). I did; however, feel that Weitz missed a little in the intimacy, and intensity the characters had in the book. Some of the shots (like E&B truck scenes, and the Romeo and Juli...

I love vampire movies but this one takes the cake. Compelling story, exciting, heart warming, inspirational, teasing and very much sad at times. This one stole my heart. It's just excellent. Don't listen to the critics and judge for yourself. Emotions are rolling high throughout this movie. The cast is incredible. The acting is right and you can read their faces expressions and their feelings. I felt everything that was happening as if it were really happening. It surpassed my expectations. I'm not a teen but I'm a die hard fan of the Twilight Saga. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are great and very true to the characters. It's sad that the rest of the cast only had a small part on this movie and even more sad that Edi Gathegi (Laurent) was killed on this one, or was he? I would love to see more of him. Another sad note is that Rachelle Lefevre ( Victoria ) only appeared 3 or 4 times on this movie. I personally love her acting and I'm sorry to see her go. They didn't even let her speak and I can see why she's so hurt about not going to the premieres. It isn't fair. The action scenes were unlike any other movie, they keept me at the edge of my seat, heart stopping sometimes, and amazing. The locations were just incredibly beautiful and just perfect for the story. One thing though if you read the book you can't go see this movie and compare because eventhough it didn't take away from it, you have to watch with a clear mind as if you are watching a movie for the first time not knowing what is about, and see it from a different perspective to capture the feeling and the real story and not as a book you read. No movie is ever exactly as the book you just read, sometimes either one could be better but you have to take it for what it is and not judge from what you probably imagined while reading the book. I recommend it 100% and I can't wait to watch it again.

I saw the movie last night, very packed. I wish I was able to hear more but the screaming fan girls made it hard. >:/ But I loved the book and I thought they did a great job of sticking to it. Yeah they missed a few little parts but for the most part it was right on. I'm defiantly going to see the movie again, maybe in a week or two after the craziness dies down a bit. I also saw a range of ages and gender. I saw many guys there which was nice and I saw a large number or older couples. I was happy about that. I laughed, swooned, got teary eyed and bit my nails down to stubby mess. And loved every second of it. Kudos to Chris Weitz. <3

My 15 yr. old daughter and I both agree; New Moon was better than Twilight. We thought the Director did an awesome job and hope he's involved in the third segment. We loved the books and now that we've seen it, can't wait to see it again. I do agree that Bella's reaction toward seeing Alice again, or for that matter, seeing Edward getting smashed to pieces by the Volturi should elicit a tear, a scream, something other than an open mouthed gape from Kristen Stewart. Does this actress know how to cry? Come on - losing the love of your life, seeing him brutally mangled in front of your eyes, touching and kissing him again after so many months....I'm welling up now, what's with Bella? Other than that little bit of IDA I thought the acting on EVERYONES part was better, the relationship between the characters was conveyed well and I am ironically on Team Bella because I love them (Jacob & Edward) both too. Kudos to all the secondary cast...you were all spot on and look forward to hearing more from you in the sequel. Ya eh Jasper Emmett, Victoria, Mike, Jessica, Eric, Angela and Daddy Swan!! You rocked!

Bella looked better. So did Jacob and Edward was Edward. If you didn't read the book see the movie with an open mind. I enjoyed the beginning with Bella as a old woman with Edward. I hated that Edward was so cold when he left and somehow I started to be on Team Jacob, which I definitely wasn't while reading the book. The wolves were great. The special effects were great. The fight scenes were intense.they did the book justice unlike Harry Potter 6 the film. As a fan I was super pleased. The ending was even better cause I think they realize we can't drag this story on for 2 more movies without it losing steam, so they give us the start of wedding talk and Bella being transformed which doesn't take place until a little while longer in the saga. New Moon is not an action movie. If your looking for big fighting scenes etc wait for Eclipse and Breaking of Dawn. New Moon gives us Jacob and the pack and starts what is a complicated love triangle which later becomes a square...Jacob's love for her and her love for him which could be good but just doesn't compare to what she had with Edward. Bad reviews will not keep true fans from seeing the next movies. I know I will be in line too. All that publicity didn't hurt either.
