Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  TMC (remake)Posted: 10/28/2006A review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre by horrorcritic Vrey good and very shocking, many said it wasnt good but i think that it was, but I never saw the Original, and it doesnt need tons of gore to make it a good movie eighter, and that real footage of Leather Face sent chills down my spine. you should deffinately see it if you like movies with contents like this.

It lives up to the original. I first saw this movie when my sister had an apartment, and she let me watch it. Granted, were both horror movie fans, but when I first watched it all the way through, the part that left me cringing was when whats his name was running away from Leatherface through all those bed sheets, Leatherface comes out of nowhere, and saws his leg off from the knee down. That scared me worse than of when Jonathan Tucker got killed, and he suffered the worse death out all of them. Thats what made me write this review, and so, the way that he died was well, he had gotten the crap literallly beaten outta him by the sherrif, played by R. Lee Ermey, and that caused him to be come severly tired. Knowing that he still had handcuffs on, Leatherface sees this chandelier, and put him on it, and revs up the chainsaw. From there, my heart stopped. And the way my heart stopped was that Leatherface ran the chainsaw up between his legs. Now that is serious pain. Thats all I got for now, peoples. Watch it if you want to, but beware, it is intensely scary. Was this review helpful? I discovered that that this remake of the 1970s horror flick is based on true events. In 1973, Travis County police (Texas) were dispatched to the residence of local butcher Thomas Hewitt. There they discovered the slaughtered remains of 33 people. Learning that, I definately had to see the movie. And I did, and it was scary. It showed "real" footage recorded by Travis County officers. Note that I put the word "real" in quotations because I don't totally believe this story is true, but you never know. Anyway, if the footage was real, you were able to see glimpses of the real "Leatherface". I'm not going to tell you what he does to the officers either - you'll have to rent the movie to find that out. The actual production itself was scary, frightening, gory, disturbing, and just plain weird. I encourage anyone who's interested in mystery, horror, suspense, non-stop jump-out-of-your-seat horror to see this movie. Oh, and just to let you know, the case of the Hewitt murders, I mean slaughters, is still unsolved, or so they say in the movie. So go see it- it's FREAKY!!!!!!!!!!! Was this review helpful? Being that the film seriously lacks any realistic integrity, the only reason to like such a currupt piece of trash is if you are deeply disturbed, I highly suggest therapy to anyone who rates this above a 1. And that's a fact! How do people think the original is better. It is boring! It's not scary! And I was happy when the guy in the wheel chair died. I felt bad for every charcter in the new movie when they died. Except the sheriff of course. Jessica Biel did an outstanding job. She is a great actress. She kicked serious ass in this movie. The whole cast was amazing, the chase scenes were great. I have never been so scared by a movie in my life. I jumped so many times in the theater. I have seen this movie about 6 times and even though I know what will happen, I'm still scared. By the way, this is not a true story. I'm not going to explain because about a dozen people already did. But anyway this is the best horror movie ever and in my opinion, one of the best movies of all time!! Was this review helpful?
